What you're paying for
Every safari price is built from a handful of parts: park entry and activity fees set by the Uganda Wildlife Authority, permits for gorilla or chimpanzee trekking, accommodation, transport in a safari vehicle, fuel, and your guide's expertise. Some of these are fixed government charges — the same for every operator.
The big variables
Accommodation and transport style are where budgets move. The same 3-day Bwindi trip can be done with budget guesthouses and a minivan, or mid-range lodges and a private 4x4 — the gorilla permit is identical. Tell us your budget range honestly and we'll design the best trip within it.
Group size matters
Costs per person drop significantly as a group grows, because the vehicle and guide are shared. Solo travellers pay more per head but gain a fully private trip. Travelling with one or two friends is usually the sweet spot.
Get a real quotation
We don't publish fake prices. Send us your dates, group size and interests, and we'll return an itemised quotation — permits, fees, accommodation and all — so you know exactly what you're paying for. Prices are confirmed at quotation because fees and rates change.
